A self-portrait concerned with the persistence of presence amid personal loss. The work brings together fragments of memory, private symbols, and a shifting landscape in which the boundaries between inner and outer reality begin to dissolve. Painted over the course of a year, it records not a particular event, but a period of transformation, the disappearance of one version of the self, while holding on to presence as the one remaining certainty.
